I Am a Poor Man, performance photograph, 2011.
I Am a Poor Man is a month long experimental piece in Savannah, Georgia. The project intends to unlearn a specific privilege (residence, access to technology, car, money) in 2-week-long increments. The transition of gender incorporates personal aspects of identity and truths of queer homelessness. The intention of the project was meant for 10 weeks, however, the project was cut short at 4 weeks for safety precautions.
