An Everyday that is Invisible, performance stills from live performance for The Harvest Group Exhibition, duration 2 hours, The Factory, Seattle, Wa, 2018.

By building little rock towers and thrusting my body down a slip and slide of baby oil and berries into the rocks repeatedly for 2 hours, I examine the art of intimacy in isolation--of putting oneself together and ripping oneself apart. I confront the womxn body/warrior in myself; the intimate daily fight of exploring, building, and surviving. The durational performance addresses the inexhaustibility of longing and the ultimate collective confusion of avoidance, endurance, curiosity, awareness, irritation, and elation experienced in the constant death and re-birth of self. I attempt to value the warring womxn body as lethargically playful yet a body of strength and roots revealing dark, hidden, and unexpected emotions of the self and the public.
